Dr Wessel Joubert
(pronounced: Vessel [like a ship or a blood vessel]; You-bear)
Dr Joubert was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He came to Canada after practising for five years in South Africa. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the Free State in South Africa and has worked in various hospitals throughout his career.
He currently holds an associate professor position at the University of Calgary and a clinical lecturer role at the University of British Columbia.

Dr Joubert’s medical practice covers all ages and maternity patients up to 32 weeks.
He underwent special training in emergency medicine and enjoy working in the ER.

He has a passion for winemaking which brought him to the sunny Okanagan. He loves the outdoors and travelling.
Dr Joubert speaks English and Afrikaans.
Dr. Kayode Ogunbunmi
(Locum; Practice Ready Assessment Candidate)
Dr. Kayode Ogunbunmi is a seasoned Family Physician with over 15 years of clinical experience spanning Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians in Family Medicine and holds the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. His extensive background includes work in both rural and urban healthcare settings, where he has managed complex medical, surgical, pediatric, and mental health conditions.
Dr. Ogunbunmi has a special interest in primary care delivery, medical education, and community health. He is known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and a strong commitment to continuity of care. Over the years, he has held several leadership roles, including Head of Clinical Services and Residency Program Trainer, and has participated in numerous volunteer health initiatives.
He is enthusiastic about serving the diverse communities of British Columbia and is currently transitioning into Canadian practice through the Practice Ready Assessment program. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ogunbunmi enjoys music, gardening, and spending time with his family.
